South Side Shootings

  • Officers do not engage directly due to the high prevalence of violence.

  • Form a perimeter near the border to ensure the shooting does not leave the Southside.

If Shooting goes OUT of the area shown below, Officers are to pursue the individuals once out of the Southside and arrest them.

Escalation Rule: If the same area or groups are involved in five shootouts within 48 hours, all participants (win or lose) are charged with gang-related shooting (20 months jail, $10,000 fine).
