Street Shootings

Definition

A street shooting involves multiple individuals engaging in gunfire outside a gang’s home territory. This can occur on foot or in vehicles.

Response Actions

Engagement:

  1. Establish Perimeter: 2-4 officers (1-2 units) form a mobile perimeter.

  2. Deploy Air One: Air One provides aerial intel and monitors the scene.

Post-Engagement:

  1. Provide Medical Aid to all downed individuals.

  2. Confiscate Illegal Items from suspects, then release them.

  3. Issue a $15,000 Fine for public safety violations.

  4. Self-Defense Review: Individuals with legal firearms may claim self-defense.
